Spanish Courses

Spanish I - The main emphasis of Spanish I at EXCEL residential boarding schools is the understanding present and past tenses and building a basic vocabulary. The goal of the class is to be able to communicate with a Spanish-speaking person through speech or writing (not necessarily to be able to hold a fluent conversation).

Spanish II - This course is designed to build on the vocabulary of Spanish I, and also introduces the future, conditional, and imperfect tenses. The students write stories to apply their knowledge of Spanish grammar and also speak the language more. Annunciation and pronunciation are also emphasized more.
